About CLEVNET and the CLEVNET Online Catalog
The Lorain Public Library System (LPLS) is a member of a consortium of over 30 libraries called CLEVNET.
CLEVNET is operated by the Cleveland Public Library; it is the largest library resource sharing network in the United States. Click here for more information about CLEVNET and its member libraries.
Library users at any LPLS location can use the CLEVNET Online Catalog in the library or from home over the LPLS website. The CLEVNET catalog gives information about books, music recordings, DVDs, videocassettes, audio bookss, magazines, newspapers, musical scores, computer software, and other types of library materials that are owned by all CLEVNET member libraries. More than 2,000,000 titles are listed.
You can view the CLEVNET Online Catalog on the Internet by clicking here.
You may use the online catalog to place a hold request on items that are owned by any CLEVNET library, including Lorain Public Library System. When you place the hold you can specify the pickup location where you want to have the item sent. Items borrowed from CLEVNET library locations can be returned at any other CLEVNET library location. If you change your mind later about having a hold on an item you can use the MY ACCOUNT option to delete your hold request.
