Toni Morrison Poster Contest
Calling all artists! The Lorain Public Library System invites students of any age (kindergarten - college) who live or attend school in Lorain County to submit an entry to our 2024 Toni Morrison Poster Contest beginning October 1, 2023. Prizes will be awarded and are sponsored by the Friends of the Lorain Public Library.
Students who wish to enter this contest will choose from one of two quotations from the writings of Toni Morrison while creating their work:
"You can do some rather extraordinary things if that's what you really believe." OR
"At some point in life the world's beauty becomes enough. You don't need to photograph, paint or even remember it. It is enough."
POSTER ART GUIDELINES:
Students may use any physical medium (pencil, crayon, cray-pas, watercolor, pencil pen, cut paper, stencils, etc.) to create their poster. Digital media may also be used to create the poster.
Artwork should be drawn horizontally (landscape), 12 inches by 18 inches or 8.5 inches x 11 inches in size (under/oversized artwork will not be eligible) and drawn on white poster board or white drawing paper (no lines).
