Imagination Station Literacy Carnival

Join us at the Imagination Station Carnival, an exciting event hosted by the Lorain Public Library System and the Lorain County Imagination Library (LCIL). Taking place on Saturday, September 14, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the South Branch Public Library, this event is a vibrant celebration of National Literacy Month and a kickoff to Hispanic Heritage Month. Families are invited to a day brimming with literary fun and cultural festivities, designed especially for children from birth through elementary age.
One of the event’s special highlights is the live performance of “When Julia Danced Bomba” by Lorain native Dr. Raquel M. Ortiz, featuring Olga Rodado, Melanie Guzmán McCarter, and Cesar Román-Samot. This captivating story will be brought to life through an engaging blend of words, music, and dance, ensuring a memorable experience for all who attend.
Additionally, the event features on-site registration for the Lorain County Imagination Library program, which now includes a brand-new bilingual track in English and Spanish for children from birth to age 5.
Mark your calendars and join us at the Imagination Station Carnival for an afternoon of adventure, learning, and celebration. For more details, visit our website or contact the South Branch Public Library. We can’t wait to see you there
